Structure fishing Manhattan

Just got back from a trip New York with my oldest daughter. Here's a shot taken of some anglers under the Brooklyn Bridge. Think they are using any of my playbaits?

June Playbait of the Month

With a bare hook in her midriff, this 4 inch pearl Strike King Zero rigged wacky style can be seductively twitched in the shallows to attract those post spawn largemouths.

My first lunker

Here's my first "bigun" worthy of mounting. Caught in March of '64 she fell for a purple Creme scroundrel in Hill Creek, Lake Tyler, Texas and is probably the one fish most responsible for my love of angling.

Alive in well

I'm really proud of my new project, a portable livewell complete with lid, pump and handles, improvised using a Coleman ice chest. It's a great addition to my aluminum flat bottom.

...and a vast improvement over the original prototype that we first tested out in my buddy's Skeeter!

Birthday Cats

loaded with catfish! Just ask their other grandma.

They were biting so good , one pulled my unattended pole into the rushes.

But my older grandson's attention was on the cakes!
